Settings for Wakesurfing and Wakefoiling behind your Axis
Axis Pro Athlete, Guenther Oka, walks us through the key points that will help you dial in your wave for whatever you're doing behind your Axis. Whether you're teaching beginners to surf, or looking to take your foil game to the next level, Guenther and Axis have you covered!
Settings
Beginner Surf - Evenly weight boat front and back with minimal ballast, set the Power Wedge III to 1 or 2, and set cruise control to 10.5-11mph. The goal is to create a long mellow wave that is user friendly for beginners to learn on.
Advanced Surf - Empty some of the forward ballast, set the Power Wedge 3 between 3 - 6 (left foot forward riders) or 1-4 (right foot forward riders), and set cruise control around 11mph. The goal is to create a powerful, steep wave for riders to perform carves and tricks on.
Beginner Foil - Set surf side (right or left), keep the Power Wedge 3 in "Lift" mode, and free-hand the throttle to keep the speed between 6 -10 mph. The goal is to create minimal turbulence for the foil to work through.
